Buff Bowen
President

Buff founded his first technology company, American Computer Resources, Inc. (ACR) in 1983. ACR pioneered International IBM PC distribution through five company-owned offices/warehouses in Germany, Denmark, Australia, England and the United States, selling through a network of over 5,000 channel partners in 100+ countries.

Buff's first internet online library venture was StudyWeb.com (1994 to 1999). StudyWeb’s proprietary technology managed the input of 250+ virtual editors and researchers as well as the daily web indexing and regeneration of over 120,000+ human selected and reviewed content-rich web sites organized within 8,500+ subject areas. StudyWeb’s intuitive categorization and navigation helped the site average over 3.5 million page-views per month prior to its sale to Lightspan, Inc. in 1999

Buff's next ventures included TaskIM and XtremeShare (information technologies - 2002 to present), enabling users to collaboratively organize large collections of content, documents and discussions in all the ways they needed to think about and apply it. Permission-based users could create and control visually intuitive navigational pathways and categories to encourage associative thought, enhance decision-making around strategic and operational objectives, and to guide users through the information discovery process. Customers include Pfizer, Bayer, Henry Schein, PA Consulting and Foster-Miller, Inc.

Boomja Network (2006 to present) currently manages over 1 million pages of editor selected content across 1,100+ topical directories, creating hundreds of thousands of top unpaid search results for online advertisers.

Coaching quarterbacks has been a hobby of Buff’s for over twenty five years.  Buff has had many quarterbacks graduate to the collegiate level, including Purdue University, Syracuse University, West Virginia, Duquesne University, University of Buffalo, Central Connecticut State University, American International College (AIC), Wesleyan University, University of Rhode Island, Wagner College, Sacred Heart University, Merrimack College, Appalachian State University, Trinity College, Hamilton College, Western Connecticut State University, Utica College and the University of New Haven over the past seven years at Milford Academy’s elite prep football program and private quarterback training.
